The EduTest project team was the local organizer of the International Meeting of Psychometric Society (IMPS 2024) conference in Prague for more than 570 registered participants from 40 countries. The conference report was published in the journal Orbis Scholae.

8 November 2023 The Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences

Patrícia Martinková presented project results at The Week of the Czech Academy of Scienes. 

23 October 2023 Workshop for professional public
A workshop for professionals in the field of education and educational assessment took place on 23 October 2023 in the premises of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Národní 3, Prague 1. The workshop was aimed at test developers, academics, representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, schools and other professionals involved in developing knowledge tests or working with test results. Participants were introduced to modern methods of test data analysis and to interactive tools designed to support the use of these methods in practical work with data. The demonstrations used data from maturita exams and secondary school admission tests. Other results of the EduTest project were also briefly presented, such as methods for equating different test versions, methods for item difficulty prediction from item wording, and computer adaptive testing. 

6–7 September 2023 Frontiers in Educational Measurement 

Eva Potužníková presented project results at the conference Frontiers in Educational Measurement (FREMO) in Oslo, Norway. 

25–28 July 2023 International Meeting of Psychometric Society

Patrícia Martinková presented project results at the International Meeting of Psychometric Society (IMPS) in Maryland, USA.

13–15 July 2023 European Congress of Methodology

Patrícia Martinková, Jan Netík, Jana Dlouhá, Lubomír Štěpánek, and Michaela Vařejková presented project results at the European Congress of Methodology in Ghent, Belgium. 

8 December 2022 Workshop for school leaders
A workshop for secondary school leaders was held at the Centre for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (CERMAT) on 8 December 2022. Participants were introduced to the interactive application EduTest Maturita designed to analyze school results, tried working with their school’s data, and provided feedback for further development of the application.

Patrícia Martinková, Eva Potužníková, and Michaela Vařejková presented project results at the European Conference on Educational Research (ECER), which was held online.

Patrícia Martinková, Eva Potužníková, and Jan Netík presented the interactive application for schools at the konference of the Czech Educational Research Association in Babice, Czech Republic.

8 April 2022 Workshop for the Application Guarantor
On 8 April 2022, the Centre for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (CERMAT) held a workshop for its staff. Participants were introduced to the psychometric methods implemented in the interactive tool developed within the project and to preliminary data analysis results in test score equating and item difficulty estimation based on item wording.

9 December 2021 Discussion workshop with a group of school leaders

A discussion workshop was held with a group of school leaders to gather information on current practice in the use of test results in schools. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the meeting was held online. The project team received valuable input from the participants concerning their experience in the use of assessment data in schools and their views of interactive digital tools to support the use of these data.  

25 October 2021 Launch of the website

The website EduTest.cz was launched.

25 May 2021 Kick-off meeting

On 25 May 2021, a kick-off meeting was held to plan project tasks and activities for the upcoming period.

1 April 2021 Project start  

The EduTest project was launched on 1 April 2021. Its aim is to provide a set of procedures and tools for complex analysis of data from educational tests to make modern analytical methods more accessible to test developers and other users. The main user of the project results and the application guarantor is the Centre for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (CERMAT). In cooperation with the application guarantor, the project aims to contribute to the improvement of the development of educational tests and to support the use of assessment data at different levels of the educational system.
